2 egg whites 3/4 c sugar 1/8 tsp cream of tartar Preheat oven to 325. Beat egg whites til soft peaks form. Add cream of tartar. Gradually add sugar until peaks are firm. Add chocolate chips or food coloring if desired. Place spoonfuls on parchment paper-covered cookie sheets. Place in oven. Turn oven off. Check after 1 1/2 hours. If still gummy, heat oven for a couple minutes, turn off oven, and then check cookies after another 30 minutes. |
